When Life is No Longer Sacred

As I write this, I have the news on and yet another mass shooting has happened and this time at a social services building in San Bernadino, California.   It doesn’t take a rocket scientist that there is a correlation between this society and its declining respect for all life, human and animal.  Life is no longer sacred to us, it’s simply a pawn in the game of life. We regard life as something that just happens and nothing else.  The sacredness that once was seen of ‘life’ has been washed down the drain as this society becomes so self-absorbed and narcissistic.  This society only cares about itself and no one else.  They become offended or emotionally hurt they use violence as a means for relieving their pain.  These people are COWARDS!  They can’t deal with life so they take it on someone else, as if that will help the problem they are having.  They don’t see a life when they stare down the sights of a gun, they see an object and nothing else.  Once again, society, it has established slowly but surely that life is nothing but an object and once it’s an object it’s no longer sacred.  Sure you can say, “Ban guns!” but that does NOTHING to solve the problem at hand which is…..the sacredness of life.  Lets start with that, then lets work on the gun problem in this country.

Blog about Heathenism, Asatru, Norse-Paganism, Norse-Wicca, Forn Sed, Anglo-Saxon Paganism, Theodism, and Vanatru, and how to practice it in the modern world, as a spiritual path. Both rituals, and metaphysical musings about the Viking religion. You will find a good collection of Heathen seasonal rituals, all which are meaningful for the solitary.
